About Jesse and Jari

Vision

We live and work in the mountain regions of Jinotega, Nicaragua. This is an area rich in vegetable farming and coffee production. Communities in these areas often have limited access to business training, new farming technologies and good seeds for bean production.

Our ministry, Satisfied Wages, helps train entrepreneurs, farmers, as well as pastors and ministry leaders in Biblical business values. Through coaching and discipleship, the gathered church in Nicaragua can understand their purpose and calling to be the church Monday through Saturday in their respective places of work. They will experience the joy of worshipping God with their work, in the midst of economic uncertainties.

With a Biblical understanding of work, these Christian leaders will have businesses, farms, and churches that bring about human flourishing in their communities. Our goal is for them to develop holistic Christian business models that will strengthen their families and communities by providing jobs and increasing Cristian discipleship within the marketplace.

Mission

We are committed to teaching the Nicaraguan Church about the importance of business as mission and encourage their business members to embrace being part of a marketplace ministry. We achieve this through facilitating workshops that contribute to the practice of Biblical and God honoring principles in business and life. We provide a follow-up and discipleship process that includes mentoring and support groups. We prepare business mentors in local churches to commission and send out marketplace ministers.

We have collaborated with Discipling Marketplace Leaders. DML is present in thirteen countries across Africa. DML’s mission is to educate, equip, and empower the local church to establish a ministry that disciples every believer to live out work as worship and mission.

As a licensed, registered nurse, Jari also spends time serving alongside local doctors and Nicaraguans in health education and disease prevention.
