Ebenezer CRC is launching a new ministry this fall! "Embracing people with cognitive challenges and enabling them and the church of Christ to experience the fullness of God's love." This is the vision of Friendship Groups Canada which will be starting this fall in Ebenezer. Friendship ministry believes everyone is created in God's image and is an integral part of God's family and should have the opportunity to become active members of a church community. We will be meeting every Monday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30 pm. For more information please call the church office @ 780-986-4119.
Children's Church will be starting a new season on Sunday, September 21. This ministry is for ages 3- grade 4 and is held during the church service. This program nurtures the faith of children and helps them develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Youth Ministry "Restoring Youth to God's living truth and equipping them so that they will live out their faith with passion" Junior high (Grades 7-9) meets together every Tuesday evening from 7:30-8:30 pm(Starting Tuesday, September 23). Students come together and participate in an activity or game which emphasizes the Godly truth for the evening. Then for forty minutes the students meet in small groups for prayer, encouragement and discussion on how God?s truth makes a difference in their lives. Senior High (Grades 10-12) youth meets Wednesday evening from 8-10 p.m.(Starting Wednesday, September 24). Every student is invited to participate in a variety of activities or games that are fun and it builds community. We spend time focusing on the Bible, talking about how relevant it is for our lives today. Each student meets with a small group where there is prayer, openness and in that group they are challenged to live out God's truth. Senior high is also involved in a variety of service opportunities within our city and in other countries. | |
