Cadets

Helping boys grow more Christ-like in all areas of life.

The goal of cadeting is helping boys to grow more Christ-like in all areas of life. The boys are involved with bible study, badges and other activities combined with the Central Alberta Council. These activities include snow derby, fishing derby, spring campouts and Cadet Sunday.

This Cadet season, we will meet on Saturday mornings 9:30-11:30.

This year, our Cadet theme is “AMAZING” This theme is taken from Joshua 3:5 “Joshua told the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”

This theme was chosen by head office last year to show the boy's that even through the uncertainty of the pandemic and the uncertainty going forward, that God is in complete control of every aspect of life. The background for this passage is when God commissions Joshua to take Israel into the promised land. Moses, as most of you remember, led Israel out of Egypt, but due to his sinning against God, was not allowed into the promised land. Joshua had massive shoes to fill, not only in task, but especially in faith.  Joshua 1 is God's commission to Joshua, and also to the people of Israel. The promise from God in verse 9 still holds true today. Cadets, as believers, you are the new Israel, and we journey through this land to the promised land, the Holy City in heaven.

May the Lord richly bless all of you this cadet season. May the Lord bless you with stronger faith and may he bless you with fearless courage.
