I hope I’m not premature in announcing that spring is here and the cold weather is officially over! Too optimistic? Well, I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this warm, sunny, springlike weather while it lasts.

The Livestream:

I was away this past week but I heard that once again we had challenges with our livestream. We apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this causes. Our tech team was here at the office on Monday evening trying to figure what’s going wrong. Thank you to each member of the sound team and projectionists for your faithful and sacrificial and sometimes stressful work. You are literally the means that God is using to keep us all connected and we thank God for you.

A Devotional Thought:

And they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias. And they prayed and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.” And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.” Acts 1:23-26

It seems fitting to me that we would think about this text after having drawn lots for council members last Sunday. It’s a reminder to me that God has been raising up faithful leaders to serve His church throughout the history of the church and He will continue to do so until He returns.

We've got a wonderful new group of elders and deacons. Let’s remember to support them and hold them up in prayer. Thanks to each person who graciously allowed their name to stand.

May the Lord bless and keep Ebenezer,

Pastor Jason
